Construction Project Coordinator – Vancouver, WA

About Your RoleThe Construction Project Coordinator provides project coordination and administrative support for capital construction projects from planning through closeout. This position works closely with Project Managers, contractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Education Requirements- High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience will be considered.
- 2 years of experience supporting municipal construction or capital improvement projects.
- 1 year federally funded construction contract administration experience a plus
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of construction project lifecycle, contract administration, and document control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience tracking project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build productive relationships with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using project management software such as Procore, PMWeb, e-Builder, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Experience supporting public agency or municipal capital improvement programs.
- Knowledge of Washington State public works construction practices.
- Experience coordinating infrastructure, transportation, aviation, municipal, or vertical construction projects.
- Familiarity with project scheduling software and document management systems.
- Ability to identify project risks and proactively recommend solutions.
- Strong meeting facilitation and documentation skills.
- Support Project Managers throughout all phases of construction projects.
- Coordinate project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and closeout documentation.
- Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
- Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
- Coordinate communication between owners, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Monitor contractor submittals and document review processes.
- Assist in reviewing contractor pay applications and supporting documentation.
- Prepare project reports, status updates, and executive summaries.
- Organize and maintain electronic project files and document control systems.
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
- Participate in project site visits to monitor construction progress and verify field conditions.
- Support quality assurance and quality control documentation.
- Assist with project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, turnover documents, and final record documentation.
- Monitor and track contractors’ compliance with Department of Labor and Industries requirements for payment of prevailing wages as they apply to City, State and Federal regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of successful project delivery.

$39.00 - $43.00 per hour (DOE)
