Preconstruction Manager

At Innate, we promise our clients transparency — no costly surprises. As our Preconstruction Manager, you'll be the person who makes that promise possible. You'll lead estimating, scope development, and value engineering efforts that set every project up for success before a single nail is driven. Working closely with our design and construction teams, you'll conduct site assessments, develop accurate budgets, and present clear proposals that give homeowners confidence in their investment.

• Conduct site visits and assessments for prospective remodel and new construction projects
• Develop detailed cost estimates and project budgets
• Lead value engineering efforts to align client vision with budget reality
• Prepare and present proposals and bid packages to clients
• Collaborate with designers and project managers on scope development
• Analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing
• Maintain and improve estimating templates, databases, and processes
• Support the sales team with technical expertise during client consultations

• 5+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience in residential construction
• Proficiency in estimating software (Xactimate, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and costs
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience with design‑build or remodeling preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
