The Associate Owners Advisor role will support Senior Owner’s Advisors in planning, procuring, and executing collaborative delivery projects. Acting as a liaison between the project owner and stakeholders, this role focuses internally with limited client contact, ensuring that Owner Advisor projects align with owners’ visions, goals, and objectives while meeting budget, schedule, and quality standards. Under senior guidance, responsibilities include selecting delivery methods, conducting market sounding, developing RFQ/RFP documents, assessing risk, coordinating specification and scope contributions, reviewing pricing and design/pro construction compliance, and overseeing contract negotiations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement collaborative delivery projects and achieve portfolio goals.
  • Develop and customize RFQ and RFP documents for procurement activities, supporting technical requirements and scopes of work.
  • Assist with scheduling, preparation, and facilitation of client meetings and workshops.
  • Support owners/clients in reviewing SOQs and proposals, performing compliance reviews, and completing reference checks on behalf of the owner.
  • Assist with negotiation and oversight of collaborative delivery contracts during design and construction phases.
  • Support strategic implementation plans for new projects and programs.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Uphold a client‑focused approach to handle small projects with limited supervision.
  • Support project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt to and execute additional assignments based on evolving needs.
Skills and Competencies
  • Foundational understanding of project/program management techniques.
  • Excellent collaboration skills for working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Desire to learn contract management and negotiations.
  • Basic knowledge of collaborative delivery methods and best practices (particularly DBIA and WCDA).
  • Ability to develop strategic implementation plans and manage procurement documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports.
  • Experience in marketing and sales communications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects.
  • Strong personal initiative and accountability to drive projects forward.
Experience
  • Typically, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience supporting the management of small, straightforward projects.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience and understanding of collaborative project procurement or delivery – Design‑Build, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC or GC/CM).
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or business development, including supporting proposals and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for OA project pursuits.
Education
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • DBIA Professional or DBIA Associate preferred.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position depends on the employee’s primary work location and may be adjusted over time.

Location A: $71,000 - $96,000

Location B: $78,000 - $106,000

Location C: $85,000 - $115,000
