A well-established commercial general contractor in Seattle is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the local market.

This opportunity is best suited for a field-driven Superintendent who can manage the jobsite, coordinate subcontractors, drive schedule, maintain safety, and communicate effectively with project teams, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day‑to‑day field operations on commercial construction projects
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, field staff, and site logistics
  • Maintain project schedule and coordinate short‑interval planning
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documents as needed to support field execution
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leadership
  • Lead subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and field coordination meetings
  • Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and project standards
  • Manage site safety and enforce company safety policies
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, punch list, commissioning support, and closeout activities
  • Identify field issues early and work with the project team to resolve them efficiently
  • Maintain daily reports, progress photos, manpower logs, look‑ahead schedules, and field documentation
  • Support project sequencing, phasing, logistics planning, and occupied‑site coordination when applicable
  • Build strong relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal team members
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience preferred
  • Commercial general contractor experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with commercial ground‑up, tenant improvement, healthcare, life science, education, office, or technical construction projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, scheduling, safety, and quality control
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and hold trade partners accountable
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project management and field teams
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, P6, or similar construction platforms preferred
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • First Aid / CPR preferred
  • LEED, DBIA, CM‑Lean, or other construction certifications are a plus
