A leading Seattle-based general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex commercial construction projects across the Pacific Northwest. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the work, partnering with Project Managers and Superintendents, and playing a key role in keeping projects organized, coordinated, and moving forward.

Position OverviewThe Senior Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager and project team with day-to-day project coordination, documentation, subcontractor communication, procurement tracking, cost support, and technical problem-solving. This person will act as a central point of communication between the field, office, design team, ownership group, and subcontractors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer who is ready for more responsibility, greater project exposure, and a clear path toward an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to support project execution.
- Manage and track RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Support subcontractor coordination, procurement, material tracking, and equipment planning.
- Assist with subcontractor change orders, owner change orders, and related project documentation.
- Review drawings and specifications to help ensure work is completed in accordance with contract requirements.
- Work closely with the Superintendent and field team to resolve coordination issues and maintain project momentum.
- Support project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on key action items.
- Assist with cost tracking, budget updates, billings, projections, and project controls.
- Help maintain project schedules by tracking deliverables, procurement dates, and critical milestones.
- Support quality control, safety coordination, closeout documentation, and punch list management.
- Serve as an information hub for the project team, ensuring clear communication and continuity of work.
The base salary range for this position is:
$110,000 – $135,000
Compensation will depend on experience, project background, and overall fit for the role.
