Project Manager – Commercial Construction

DPR Construction is seeking a project manager with a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience to oversee day‑to‑day project execution, controls, engineering, cost, risk and business management for commercial projects in healthcare, higher education, advanced technology, life sciences and other markets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day‑to‑day project execution, project controls, engineering, cost, risk, and business management.
  • Manage commercial projects in DPR’s core markets.
  • Oversee all project team members, including senior project engineers, project engineers, superintendents, and field office coordinators.
  • Mentor, develop and train project engineers.
  • Maintain 100% hands‑on knowledge of project scope.
  • Control cost, billings, collections, change management, cash flows and prepare monthly status reports.
  • Act as the key point of contact with owner and architect.
  • Challenge and support the job‑site and self‑perform work team.
  • Accountable for project completion, financials, critical success factors and customer satisfaction results.
  • Coordinate and manage project planning and scheduling.
Qualifications
  • Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to create and support team morale.
  • Demonstrated understanding of building processes and systems.
  • Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project‑management software such as Prolog, CMIC and Primavera.
  • Five or more years of commercial construction experience, preferably within DPR’s core markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field.
  • Strong work ethic and a "can‑do" attitude.
