The Role

Bodine is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to be the connective tissue between our field crews, our clients, and company leadership. You'll support the Owner in scheduling and monitoring every active project across our greater Seattle service area, overseeing 8-12 direct reports who serve as Bodine's crew leads (who themselves, manage 2-4 field techs).

This is a hands-on, site-visiting role for someone who can earn the confidence of seasoned tradespeople and senior leadership alike, keep projects moving on schedule, arrange materials deliveries, and flag problems before they become bigger problems.

Bodine Construction Services recently came under a new, younger generation of ownership with an infrastructure/technology background. The right candidate will serve as a partner alongside the new Owner in modernizing, optimizing, and growing this well-established business. This position reports directly to the Owner.

What You'll Do
  • Manage 8-12 crew leads (many of whom have spent decades mastering excavation and related construction work)
  • Oversee all active construction projects, visiting job sites across the greater Seattle area when necessary to track project timelines and monitor the quality of completed work
  • Schedule incoming projects and assign crews
  • Ensure every team has the guidance, crew members, and supplies needed to complete work on time
  • Communicate potential delays or issues to management proactively and clearly
  • Track crew members' hours, assignments and locations in project management software
  • Support Bodine's permitting lead on projects requiring city or county approval, as needed
Location and Hours

This position is based at the company office in Lynnwood, WA and requires regular driving to and from job sites across the greater Seattle area.

As a full-time, exempt position, work hours will vary based on project needs. This typically includes early mornings - starting as early as 6:00 AM - to coordinate with crews before site work begins, and may occasionally require additional hours in the evenings or on weekends to meet project deadlines or address urgent issues.

What You Bring
  • Ten years of experience in the construction industry and minimum five years managing construction crews
  • The ability to earn the trust and respect of experienced crew leads and senior leadership
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple active job sites at once
  • A valid driver's license, solid driving record, and ability to drive to sites throughout the greater Seattle area
  • Sound judgment under pressure - you can spot a schedule risk or quality issue early and know who needs to hear about it
  • Experience using project management tools to track jobs, hours, and costs
Compensation
  • Salary: $110,000-$130,000 per year, plus bonus
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Benefits :
  • Three weeks paid vacation
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid sick leave
