The Opportunity with Mc Kinstry

We are adding a Construction Project Manager to our Offsite Manufacturing team in Seattle, WA. This role owns the end-to-end operational and contractual performance of a defined modular product value stream. The Project Manager is a key member in facilitating successful manufacturing execution including project plans, schedules, scopes of work, materials, production output, and customer alignment. This role is accountable for delivering cost, quality, schedule, and contractual outcomes while coordinating across manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering, commercial teams, trades, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Lead the transition of project management and engineering activities from design through construction.

  • Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, submittals, schedules, scopes of work, and execution strategies for a manufactured project across many construction projects.

  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks proactively throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client relationships, driving alignment and satisfaction throughout the project.

  • Prepare and manage client and subcontractor change orders.

  • Monitor, control, and report on project financial performance, including cost, margin, and forecasted outcomes.

  • Lead coordination among trades, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to support successful execution.

  • Coach, mentor, and provide direction to project team members.

What You Need to Succeed at Mc Kinstry
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 6 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction is preferred.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
  • Prior experience in modular, prefabricated, or offsite manufacturing construction environments is a plus.
  • Proficient with project scheduling software preferred.
  • Completed OSHA 30 class is required.
  • Basic estimating skills preferred.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and financial management preferred.
