As a Designer at Nordstrom, you will own the seasonal brand design, and you'll create products that exceed our customer expectations - making them feel good and look their best!
** A day in the life…
*** Supports design leadership in building Seasonal Brand Design Direction for their area of responsibility.
* Customer centric – continuous research to understand customer, trends, and shifts in the competitive landscape.
* Owns concept & design for their assignment – ensuring it supports Brand Design Direction, Concept, and line plan needs.
* Research materials, select fabric and trims & work closely with our print team to bring all elements of textile application to life.
* Partners with design leadership to color the line.
* Supports design leadership to build and curate all visual tools needed to support seasonal story telling for their assignment / team.
* Builds strong, synergistic relationships with all cross functional partners.
* Promotes a culture of continuous improvement that pushes innovation and accelerates expected outcomes.
** You own this if you have…
*** Bachelor's degree in Design preferred
* Minimum 5 years' experience in design industry
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Adobe CS (required), MS Office suite and ability to hand-sketch. Able to quickly adapt to new technology and systems
* Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
* Strong understanding of industry and trends within your assigned categories.#LI-Hybrid#LI-CH1
