Overview
Hello, Seattle-area theater friends! Rainy Day Artistic Collective is seeking someone to step in to our production of Eric Coble's "The Dead Guy" as our light board operator. If you are interested in programming, we could use some assistance with that as well and are willing to give additional stipend funding for that. Either way, you do not need to hang any lights.
This role is a volunteer position with a $75 stipend available, higher stipend is gladly negotiable with light board programming. “The Pillowman” will have a six-performance run, hosted in TPS’ Theatre
4.
- Running the light board/cues for tech week and performances.
- Possibly programming the lights (no hanging/gels required as we are using the default hang for the venue).
- Collaborate with Stage Manager (who will also be running the sound board) and crew (two ASMs who will be backstage).
- Assist with setup and cleanup in the booth.
The performance dates are February 27-March 1 and March 6-8, 2026. Friday and Saturday performances will take place in the evenings (7pm) and Sundays will be matinees (2pm). The show is estimated to run about 2 hours, including one 15 minute intermission.
- Dates needed:
All performances, plus tech week (approximately 6-10pm from Feb. 23-26, plus at least a few hours the afternoon of Feb. 22 for cue to cue). - If you are also programming the board, add a few hours in the couple of days leading up to the start of tech week; scheduling can be worked out together.
We encourage interested artists to look up a synopsis of the show — the Wikipedia synopsis is the most accurate we’ve found.
