About the roleYou will be a core member of the editorial team behind Boeing News Now, our flagship employee news network. You will help shape timely stories across an ecosystem of platforms — a daily news digest, websites, targeted newsletters, digital signage and mobile app. Many stories also publish externally in the News & Stories section of This role requires hands‑on publishing experience and strong content management system skills: you’ll edit, format and publish content, and optimize posts for web and mobile.
PositionResponsibilities
- Collaborate to develop and copy edit clear, compelling content that connects with audiences and answers the critical question: “Why does this matter?”
- Ensure editorial quality, accuracy and AP style across all materials. Knowledge and use of Smart Brevity a plus
- Write attention‑grabbing headlines and teasers and edit body copy to draw readers in and drive engagement
- Become an expert in our advanced publishing tools to seamlessly integrate text, visuals and multimedia into polished content packages
- Use AI tools to streamline workflow and improve relevance while maintaining editorial standards
- Build and apply audience metrics to optimize content reach and impact
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic newsroom environment
- A strong journalist with excellent judgment about what makes a timely, meaningful story
- A skilled writer and copy editor with sharp attention to detail
- A visual thinker who understands how graphics, photos and video elevate narratives
- A digital publishing and analytics expert – with AI experience – who measures audience engagement to improve content and performance
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3+ years’ experience creating and guiding content, strong writing and copy‑editing skills, and use of images and video in content packages
- 3+ years’ experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- 3+ years’ experience distilling complex, technical and abstract concepts into concise messaging and stories
- 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience using good judgment in guiding and crafting content; including the use of modern AI tools
- Experience in corporate communications, public relations or news media
- Experience producing, writing, and editing communications plans, strategies and deliverables
- Experience supporting executives and/or senior leaders

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for Level 3: $87,550 – $126,500. Summary pay range for Level 4: $112,200 – $162,150.
