Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters. Hybrid work model: four days in the office, one remote workday each week. We don’t just sell cutting‑edge fashion and accessories — we create them. Our fashion design team, the Nordstrom Product Group (NPG), develops, designs, produces, and sources all Nordstrom‑brand products. From traditional to trendy, this team shapes the styles and looks our customers love. We have an exciting opportunity to join this team as a Technical Designer.

As a Technical Designer you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver the technical design aspects and process for your products — ensuring they meet the Nordstrom Brand DNA. If you are passionate and experienced in technical design, detail‑oriented, obsessed with apparel development, and committed to providing outstanding customer service, this may be the job for you.

• Collaborate with cross-functional peers and external partners to ensure product is aligned with development strategies and business needs
• Develop clear, concise Tech Packs to include measurement worksheet and construction images to align with Design intent and Brand DNA
• Lead fit sessions, and evaluate samples to ensure product specifications, quality and construction standards are being executed
• Follow the sample through fit approvals in development and production to ensure intent is met
• Communicate fit comments to suppliers to achieve desired corrections
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline product development and production processes, escalating when leadership involvement is needed

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Technical Design or related field
• A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Apparel Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making or related field or equivalent industry experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Clear, effective written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

$80,000.00 - $ Annual
