Senior Product Designer, Slack

Overview of the Role

Slack is where work happens. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape thoughtful, high-impact product experiences used by millions of people every day.

In this role, you'll lead design for complex features or product areas, partner closely with Product and Engineering, and contribute to product and design strategy. You're comfortable working in ambiguous spaces, reframing problems, and driving clarity for your team. This is a hands‑on role with meaningful scope and influence.

Day to day, you will:

• Lead design for complex features or product areas from concept to launch
• Turn ambiguous problems into clear, simple solutions
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape direction and priorities
• Create flows, prototypes, and high-quality visuals using Slack's design system
• Drive user-centered thinking and incorporate research into your work
• Provide thoughtful feedback to peers and help raise the bar for craft

Over time, you will:

• Contribute to product and design strategy for your area
• Identify opportunities to improve usability, quality, and consistency
• Influence cross-functional decisions beyond your immediate projects
• Help improve how design operates within your team

• 5+ years of experience in product design for desktop or mobile
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design thinking and execution
• Experience leading design for complex features or product areas
• Ability to work independently and drive clarity in ambiguous situations
• Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers
