Your JobThe Brooks Creative Lab imagines, designs, curates, and manifests creative concepts, campaigns, and assets that define and express the Brooks brand. Print, retail, packaging, web, digital, events—and even porta potties—are our canvas, and runners are our inspiration. Our growing team seeks a Senior Designer, Branded Apparel Graphics to develop merchandise in support of branded experiences around the globe.
As the Senior Designer, Branded Apparel Graphics at Brooks, you will be responsible for creating original graphics and textile designs that reflect our brand aesthetic while meeting the needs of the business serving runners around the world. You will help shape how Brooks shows up through branded products at events, brand moments, and internal programs, translating our brand expression into compelling, product‑ready design.
You will use strong craft and sound judgment to turn runners, events, and brand needs into clear, on‑brand recommendations.
- Drive conceptual ideation, development, and execution for branded apparel graphics to meet the needs of the brand, business, and consumer across a range of global and regional purposes.
- Create original, on‑trend artwork inspired by running culture around the world that brings our global brand expression to life and supports the goals of cross‑functional teams.
- Lead the execution of branded apparel, accessories, and/or sock art designs by developing a strong consumer‑oriented point of view through an understanding of the runner and events we sponsor.
- Own projects from concept through final production‑ready artwork, adapting designs to meet timelines and production requirements while maintaining a high standard of craft.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Event Marketing, Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Internal Communications and recommend design solutions that align with Brooks brand standards and meet partner goals.
- Interpret runner, event, and market insights into compelling graphic concepts and visual stories that connect to Brooks’ brand expression and resonate with customers.
- Design graphics, print repeats, embroideries, jacquards, branding, laser cut, or other fabric manipulation to align with the seasonal product direction.
- Exceptionally presentation savvy – prepare and present concepts to stakeholders and senior leaders, communicating design rationale clearly and incorporating feedback to refine and advance the work.
- Respond to design critiques with multiple solutions, especially under narrow parameters or strict budgets.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Gain and maintain a current and deep understanding of Brooks products and what matters to runners.
- Mentor and support other designers, and partner with freelancers to ensure Brand Creative goals are met.
- Stay current on design techniques, trends, and competitor activity through research and education, applying relevant insights to work that reflects Brooks and resonates with runners.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve consistency, and adapt existing design approaches to solve problems in a creative and efficient way.
