About the Role
Cred Lens is looking for a detail-oriented, production-savvy Designer to join our small but mighty mission-driven team in Washington, DC. This is a hands‑on execution role — and we mean that in the best possible way.
Our core design system, component library, and brand templates are well established. Your job is to work fluently within those systems, maintain quality across every touchpoint, and help us produce polished, on‑brand work at pace.
Over time, as you grow into the role, there is real opportunity to take on more creative ownership and contribute to how those systems evolve.
You will report directly to our design lead, giving you a close mentorship relationship and clear direction from day one. We are looking for someone eager to learn, highly organized, and genuinely proud of the craft — whether that means perfecting the spacing on a slide deck or making sure a Webflow page renders beautifully on mobile.
This is a hybrid role based in Washington, DC — two days a week in office, flexible on which days. We aim to move quickly and have someone on board by late July or early August 2026.
What You Will DoApp & Product Design- Work within our established Figma design system and component library to design and refine screens, flows, and UI elements for our core software application.
- Maintain consistency across the product UI, applying existing patterns and flagging gaps or inconsistencies in the design system.
- Support product and engineering teams with design updates, annotations, and production‑ready handoff assets.
- Use AI‑assisted tools — including Claude for generating and pressure‑testing UX and UI concepts — to accelerate ideation and explore design options quickly.
- Design, build, and maintain Webflow pages; execute content updates; and use analytics, SEO, and AI‑driven discovery insights to improve site performance and visibility.
- Resize, adapt, and optimize digital assets for web use, including images, icons, and graphics.
- Produce polished slide decks for executive briefings, client presentations, conferences, and internal communications using our established presentation templates.
- Translate data, research findings, and written content into clear, visually organized slides — making complex information accessible.
- Manage a library of reusable slide components and keep templates up to date.
- Produce print‑ready files for brochures, one‑pagers, event materials, and signage using existing brand templates in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
- Coordinate with print vendors to ensure accurate specs, proofing, and on‑time delivery.
- Maintain an organized asset library and keep brand files clean, version‑controlled, and accessible to the team.
- 1–3 years of professional design experience, ideally with exposure across digital and print.
- Working proficiency in Figma — comfortable navigating a component library, building within a design system, and preparing handoff files.
- Hands‑on experience with Adobe Creative Suite:
InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop for production work. - Some experience with Webflow, or strong motivation and aptitude to learn it quickly.
- Solid fundamentals in layout, typography, and color — an eye for when something is off, and the patience to fix it.
- Strong organizational habits: clean files, clear naming conventions, and a tidy handoff are as important to you as the design itself.
- A portfolio that demonstrates care and craft, even in production‑level work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related field.
- Experience working within an established design system or brand guidelines rather than building from scratch.
- Familiarity with presentation design at a professional level — knowing what makes a deck work for an executive audience.
- Some exposure to print production: understanding of bleeds, CMYK, and vendor file prep.
- Some experience using AI tools (Claude, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or similar) as part of a design workflow.
