Assistant Print Designer - Hybrid; Seattle, WA

Job Description

Our talented design team — Nordstrom Made — develops, designs, produces and sources 50-plus private Nordstrom labels. From traditional to trendy, this team is shaping the styles and looks our customers love. Print techs are at the forefront of this – ensuring our printed fabrics tell the story of each brand to our customers and deliver to stores exactly how we had envisioned.

• Communicate with vendors, leveraging industry knowledge of print processes, dye and ink types, embellishment and application techniques.
• Assess and approve all printed and art-related strike‑offs, yarn dyes and knit downs for color, layout, and printing techniques.
• Manage development and production timelines for all artworks and yarn dyes, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare and send out artwork packages to suppliers, including color callouts and key details.
• Create and develop woven plaids, stripes and all‑over prints to support key item programs.

• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• An eye for design, print, and color with the ability to create diverse and compelling color‑way stories.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Technical knowledge of print and textile techniques, dye types, fabric qualities, product development, and production (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Flex PLM system, Adobe Suite and Nedgraphics (preferred).

Washington: $52,600 – $84,200 annually.
