Video Producer/Editor Summer Intern (Seattle, WA)
Molecular Epidemiology, Inc. (MEI), a leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Video Producer/Editor Summer Intern position at its facility in Seattle, WA.
This internship will support our Digital Marketing Department in producing and editing high-quality training, educational, and explainer videos. The selected candidate will work closely with subject matter experts to help transform scientific, technical, and training content into engaging videos for professional audiences.
Ideal Candidates- Strong video editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent software
- Demo reel or portfolio required for consideration
- Proficiency in using AI tools for video generation, editing support, captions, scripting, or content enhancement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical subject matter into accessible visual narratives
- Basic understanding of video production, including filming, lighting, audio, and post‑production workflows
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Interest in science, food microbiology, and food safety is helpful
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: editing training videos, creating explainer videos, assisting with filming and production setup, adding motion graphics or captions, adapting content for web and social media, and using AI‑assisted tools to support video production workflows.
Compensation & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 – $24.00 hourly. This full‑time role is eligible for paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and a 401(k) plan with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met. Employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours per week on average during an initial 5‑month measurement period.
