Role Description

The Lead Floral Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA, responsible for overseeing the design and production of floral arrangements for weddings, corporate events, and social occasions. This role includes creating floral designs large and small and managing a team of designers, junior designers, and freelance designers. Together with the Design Lead (sales) the Lead Floral Designer creates arrangements that align with client needs and event themes.

The Lead Floral Designer will manage daily workshop activities, guide and support junior designers, and coordinate with design leads to ensure timely production schedules. Over time the position can evolve into a hybrid sales and designer position.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Floral Design and Flower Arrangements, with experience creating designs for a variety of event types (at least 5 years)
  • High level of Creativity Skills, with a strong design sense, attention to detail, and ability to translate client visions into cohesive concepts.
  • Previous experience in a lead or senior floral design role, preferably in event or wedding design.
  • Ability to work on-site with flexibility for weekends, evenings, and peak event seasons.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Able to lift heavy loads, able to climb ladders, able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Driver’s license required, and able to drive large delivery trucks
