Overview
This internship is part of the MPD funding designed to engage youth pre‑graduates in developing critical thinking and technical skills and supporting preparation for the 21st‑century job market. Internships are available for youth ages 16‑18 in fields such as athletics, fashion design, digital media, and cooking. The internship focuses on developing a race and social justice lens within STEM programs, soft skills, career‑based technical skills, and developmental assets.
Responsibilities- Maintain excellent attendance with minimal tardiness.
- Dress in business casual clothing for lab/class programming.
- Assist the Video Editor in creating high‑quality and engaging video content for clients.
- Collaborate with the Video Editor and other team members to develop creative concepts and storyboards.
- Edit raw footage and add visual effects, graphics, and sound to create polished and professional videos.
- Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel.
- Manage and organize video files and assets.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and techniques to continually improve video quality.
- Age 16‑18 years old.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including proofreading, editing, and producing documents.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with challenging individuals.
- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Familiarity working with Mac and Windows software, including Chrome, Safari, Google, video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
The full salary range for this position is $21.51 – $21.51 per hour.
