Pinterest is looking for a Product Designer II to help shape how Pinners receive, manage, and engage with notifications. In this onsite role in Seattle, WA
, you will design end-to-end notification experiences across push, email, and in-app surfaces for iOS, Android, desktop, and web
.
You will work at the intersection of product craft and measurable outcomes, turning ambiguous problems into clear UX and interaction patterns. The team uses an AI-enabled workflow to move faster through exploration, prototyping, and synthesis, while still validating quality, accessibility, and impact.
Responsibilities- Design and ship notification experiences across push, email, and in-app on iOS, Android, desktop, and web
. - Build cohesive notification journeys covering permissions, delivery, entry points, preferences, and settings
. - Turn ambiguous product challenges into clear design requirements, user flows, and interaction patterns
. - Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to find opportunities, design experiments, and improve engagement outcomes.
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to refine visual hierarchy, messaging, micro-interactions, and timing
. - Create high-fidelity designs
, prototypes, and detailed specifications that extend the Pinterest design system
. - Communicate design decisions, tradeoffs, and recommendations to advocate for user-centered solutions aligned to product and business goals.
- Use AI-enabled workflows to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and synthesis while validating quality, accessibility, and Pinner impact
. - Share progress early, address blockers proactively, and help maintain a respectful, collaborative environment.
- 2+ years of product design experience, ideally in growth, engagement, or consumer-facing mobile products.
- A portfolio showing strong product and visual design craft, including end-to-end flows for mobile and web.
- Experience designing, shipping, and iterating on consumer experiences with close partnership across product management and engineering
. - Strong UX principles with the ability to translate business goals into testable hypotheses and experiments
. - A data-informed approach, using research, experimentation, and product metrics to improve designs.
- Ability to scope and drive projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Mastery of Figma
, solid prototyping skills, and experience producing clear handoff documentation for engineering. - Thoughtful handling of edge cases, accessibility, and user control in cross-channel experiences.
- Clear communication and a collaborative, low-ego working style across functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Compensation: USD 109, per year.

In-office: The ideal environment for work is situational and can vary by department. This role needs to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6 months and can be situated anywhere in the country.
