Housing Connector is seeking a Senior Multimedia Storyteller to bring our mission to life through powerful, human-centered content. In this role, you'll lead the creation of videos, photos, audio pieces, and written stories that highlight how partnerships and technology unlock housing for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You'll collaborate across teams, interview community members with empathy, and adapt complex data and program outcomes into accessible narratives.
Using a trauma-informed, equity-focused lens, you'll shape campaigns for digital, social, and partner channels and use analytics to refine our storytelling and expand our impact nationally.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multimedia storytelling strategies that advance Housing Connector's mission and brand.
- Produce high-quality video, photo, audio, and written content for web, social, email, and partner channels.
- Collaborate with program, partnerships, and product teams to translate complex housing work into compelling narratives.
- Plan and manage content calendars, campaigns, and multimedia projects from concept through delivery.
- Conduct interviews with residents, property partners, and community stakeholders with empathy and integrity.
- Edit and package stories for different audiences, including funders, policymakers, and the general public.
- Ensure all content reflects trauma-informed, equity-centered, and ethical storytelling practices.
- Use analytics to measure content performance and refine storytelling approaches.
- Manage relationships with creative vendors, freelancers, and partner organizations as needed.
- Maintain consistent visual and narrative standards across all media and channels.
