Facility Coordinator – King County Parks – Multiple positions and locations available.
About the RoleFacility Coordinators support the safe and effective operation of Parks facilities during events, rentals, and programs. They monitor facility use, assist with event set‑up and clean‑up, enforce policies, and provide excellent service to patrons and renters.

Supports recreational programs and scheduled use of indoor and outdoor spaces. Multiple positions available. - Preston Community Center

Historic facility with lodge‑style building and park amenities. Supports rentals, weddings, celebrations, and community meetings. One position available.
- Open, close, and secure facilities during scheduled events and rentals
- Monitor appropriate use of facilities and enforce rules, policies, and safety guidelines
- Assist with event set‑up, clean‑up, and takedown of equipment and spaces
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons, renters, and the public
- Support trash and recycling management, restroom restocking, and general facility cleanliness
- Respond to spills, minor incidents, and facility needs during events
- Communicate with supervisors regarding issues, concerns, or incidents
- Support recreational programs and activities across assigned locations
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and/or split shifts
- Prior experience in recreation, events, or customer service environments
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the public and team members
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergency or unexpected situations
- Willingness to perform routine cleaning tasks (trash removal, restroom restocking, spill cleanup)
- Ability to document and communicate issues or concerns as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist with set‑up, clean‑up, and movement of equipment
- Ability to bend, reach, and stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including uneven terrain and varying weather conditions

Work location may be at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center (650 SW Campus Dr., Federal Way, WA), White Center/Skyway (Steve Cox Memorial Park, 1321 SW 102nd St, Seattle, WA 98146; West Hill Community Center, PO Box 78583, Seattle, WA 98178), or Preston Community Center th Ave SE, Preston, WA 98050).
Work schedule is onsite; work hours vary with facility needs, typically 6–15 hours a week, often evenings and weekends. The position is covered under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible.
