Park Concierge
If you like working outside and have an innate skill for customer service, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as a Park Concierge working in Seattle's beautiful parks. ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. As a Park Concierge in this role, you'll be responsible for providing information to the public and providing peak and non-peak-hour support in various Seattle Parks. The Park Concierge is responsible for supporting park safety in downtown parks so that it is welcoming, and safe public spaces for all users.
Expected
Work Hours:
5 days per week, Monday - Sunday. The hours will be between 10:00am - 6:30pm
10am-6:30pm June through September. Plus doing some evening events.
10am-5:30pm in October. Plus doing some evening events.
10am-4:30pm November through March. Plus doing an event or two.
10am-5:30pm April and May. Plus doing an event or two.
Location:
Downtown and surrounding Parks; including Ballard Commons, City Hall, Hing Hay Park, Denny Park and Pioneer Square Park
Park Concierge Duties and
Responsibilities Include:
* Act as an information guide, answering questions about city destinations and events.
* Assist with program and event management including set-up and take-down.
* Ensure event areas are clean and free of debris prior to scheduled event/activation and before departing the Park.
* De-escalate and redirect when issues arise with park patrons.
Park Concierge Requirements Include:
* Must be 21 years of age or older
* Must be willing to work outside year-round
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Pay Rate: $26.88/hour
