Position and Salary
The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full‑time Program Specialist 2 in the Consumer Protection Division, Consumer Services Unit. This position is located in Seattle, Washington.
Salary range (42): $45,024 - $60,132 (Effective 7/1/2025). Adjusted base pay may vary with experience. Stipends may apply:
- Incumbents assigned to our Seattle office receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend.
- Incumbents assigned to a position requiring dual language skills receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend.
The Consumer Services Unit includes the Consumer Resource Center, Manufactured Housing Dispute Resolution Program, Lemon Law Administration, and Foreclosure Compliance Program.
This position will primarily be assigned to the Consumer Resource Center but may also be assigned to other programs within the consumer services unit as necessary.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering calls and written inquiries from the public.
- Providing resources and referral information to assist consumers.
- Processing consumer complaints on a multitude of issues.
- Identifying appropriate resources and referrals to assist the public.
- Handling approximately 30,000 phone calls per year and processing approximately 28,000 complaints.
The ideal candidate is customer service driven with excellent analytical and communication skills, employs problem‑solving skills, and demonstrates high attention to detail.
Proficiency in languages other than English is encouraged but not required. Services and information may be provided in other languages via translation service.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
