At Emerald City Karate, we’re more than a martial arts school—we’re a community dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults become stronger, more confident versions of themselves.
For over 15 years, families throughout Seattle have trusted us to teach respect, discipline, confidence, focus, and leadership in a safe, positive environment. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to become the welcoming face of our dojo.

What You’ll DoAs the first point of contact for students and families, you’ll help create an outstanding experience from the moment someone walks through our doors.
Responsibilities include:- Greeting students, parents, and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Answering phones, emails, and text inquiries
- Assisting prospective members and scheduling introductory appointments
- Conducting studio tours and helping families find the right program
- Checking students into classes and maintaining accurate records
- Managing memberships, billing updates, and attendance information
- Confirming appointments and following up with leads
- Supporting special events, camps, and community activities
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming facility
- Opening and closing the studio
- Assisting with retail sales and inventory management
- Serving as an emergency pickup driver for our after-school program when needed
- Friendly, outgoing, and people-oriented

- Professional and confident on the phone

- Comfortable working with children and families
- Skilled with computers and learning new software quickly
- Comfortable with Word Processors and Spreadsheets

* Required:
*
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- At least 21 years old
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Preferred:*
- Front desk, reception, hospitality, retail, or administrative experience
- Experience working with children, families, education, sports, or recreation programs
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 2:00 PM – 7:45 PM
- Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 7:15 PM
- Saturday: 8:15 AM – 12:15 PM
- Must be available for weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
