Salary/Hour: $23.21/hour
The Patron Services Representative serves as an ambassador for Seattle Children's Theatre, supporting exceptional guest experiences through outstanding hospitality and efficient Front of House operations. As a member of the Operations team, this position supports Front of House operations during public performances, school performances, rentals, donor events, accessibility performances, and other patron‑facing activities. Patron Services Representatives help ensure theatre operations run smoothly by preparing public spaces, assisting guests, supporting retail operations, and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
This role works collaboratively with volunteers and staff across the organization to deliver exceptional service while advancing Seattle Children's Theatre's mission and values.

- Provide friendly, welcoming customer service to patrons, school groups, volunteers, artists, and other visitors.
- Welcome and assist patrons and guests throughout their visit.
- Answer questions and provide general information about performances and theatre amenities.
- Assist with seating, ticket scanning, and audience flow.
- Communicate patron concerns to the House Manager as needed.
- Support the day‑to‑day operation of Front of House during performances and events.
- Prepare lobby and theatre spaces before performances and events.
- Assist with welcoming and supporting school groups during student matinee performances.
- Complete opening and closing duties.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming public spaces.
- Assist with audience entry and exit.
- Support retail operations during performances and special events.
- Operate the point-of-sale system.
- Process sales accurately.
- Stock and maintain concession and gift shop areas.
- Assist with inventory and general retail organization.
- Contribute to a safe environment and work collaboratively with the Operations team.
- Report safety concerns, maintenance needs, or patron issues to the House Manager.
- Follow emergency procedures and departmental policies.
- Work cooperatively with volunteers and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in all‑staff meetings and organizational initiatives.
- Contribute positively to SCT’s mission, vision, and workplace culture.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with a wide variety of guests.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while following direction from supervisors.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work assigned evenings, weekends, holidays, and school‑day performances.
- Ability to remain calm, flexible, and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn point-of-sale and ticket scanning systems.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, theatre, or event experience.
- Cash handling or point-of-sale experience.
- Experience working with children, families, or school groups.
- Experience working collaboratively with volunteers or in a team environment.
