- Provide welcoming and professional customer service to patrons by phone and email, responding to questions regarding tickets, events, exchanges, donations, accessibility needs, and other inquiries.
- Process ticket orders, exchanges, donations, patron contacts, and related transactions while maintaining accurate information within the organization's ticketing and CRM systems.
- Maintain and update patron and contact records, complete database cleanup, and ensure information is accurate and well organized.
- Support the distribution of complimentary tickets, gift certificates, discounts, patron book orders, subscriber benefits, and Grand Patron seating assignments.
- Assist the Box Office Manager with event-related deadlines, patron communications, ticketing needs, and other administrative and operational support.
- Independently prioritize multiple responsibilities while providing accurate, timely, and customer-focused support during a busy programming season.
- Previous experience in customer service, box office operations, ticketing, CRM/database administration, or another applicable field; direct arts organization experience is not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to professionally assist patrons by phone and email.
- Strong database/CRM skills with exceptional accuracy, organization, and attention to detail;
Patron Manager or Salesforce experience is a plus. - Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; experience with mail merge, Mailchimp, and Mac systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize independently, maintain composure under pressure, and manage competing deadlines; a genuine interest in books, reading, and literary programming is highly valued.
- This temporary, part-time opportunity offers a pay rate of $25.00 per hour and approximately 20 hours per week.
- The position is 100% onsite in Seattle, WA.
- The initial assignment is anticipated to continue through November 2026, with the potential for the selected individual to return for additional seasonal support from January through March 2027.
