Overview

Dental Assistant II  to $3,000 signing bonus depending on experience.

Schedule:

4/10 hour shifts – Mon, Wed, Thu and Fri 7:15am-5:45pm;
Tuesday off.

Location:

White Center, 10829 8th Avenue Southwest, Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98146, USA. The hiring range is $23.62 - $30.84 per hour; full range is $22.50 - $30.84. Compensation is based on skills and experience.

Position Summary

The Chairside Dental Assistant (Dental Assistant II) is responsible for patient preparation, chair-side support to dental providers and hygienists, sterilization, and clinic flow.

Your contribution to the team includes
  • Greet and prepare patients for exams by identifying chief complaint and taking vitals.
  • Access and update patient information in Electronic Dental Record (EDR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems as required.
  • Provide chair-side assistance with exams and procedures (prophylaxis, root canals, restorations, crowns and bridges).
  • Perform digital imaging, prophylaxis, sealants, and manage medication refills; record in patient records.
  • Provide instructions to patients on medication use and home care as directed by the provider.
  • Sterilize equipment, instruments, and operatories following OSHA/WISHA guidelines; stock operatories throughout the day.
  • Act as liaison between receptionists and providers to ensure timely patient flow.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patients’ medical/dental records and personal information.
Must-haves
  • Certificate from an accredited Dental Assistant program or comparable experience of three months of training.
  • Current registration/licensure with the State of Washington.
  • Basic computer skills; beginner level Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Immunizations & Records

Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required prior to start;
Johnson & Johnson vaccine not accepted as sole proof. All new employees must show immunizations or immunity for MMR, Varicella, annual influenza, and TB screening. Tdap is required for clinical employees with potential exposure. Immunizations are a condition of employment; provide proof within five business days of starting.

If gathering immunization records electronically, ensure full records include name, date of birth, and issuing health system. If records are incomplete, seek provider guidance. If unable to provide proof, you may obtain records via lab titer or re-vaccination;
