The Dental Clinic Manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating the daily operations of the dental clinic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure adequate staff scheduling and training as part of the front and back-office supervision
  • Responsible for supervisory and administrative work in directing and coordinating dental staff services
  • Ensure coordination of all operational aspects of the clinic, including organizing and establishing procedures for dental staff functions
  • Direct the business, technical, and dental support activities of a dental clinic
  • Work with clinic providers to maintain and improve support services
  • Responsible for space planning, maintenance, procurement of supplies, and contract services
  • Evaluate effectiveness, analyze trends and implement changes as recommended by COO
  • Responsible for preparation and delivery of employee performance evaluations in a timely manner
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings, and participate in agency committees or task force activities
  • Demonstrate active participation in monthly staff meetings by preparing agenda and providing minutes to the dental provider team and dental support staff
  • Partner with Medical Clinic Manager to ensure successful operations of the organization
  • Familiar with using electronic health record (ex. Athena)
  • Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises Dental Sterilization Technicians, Dental Assistants, and Dental Receptionists.

Qualifications
  • Registered as a Dental Assistant with Washington State DOH (required)
  • Two to five years of customer service experience (required)
  • One to two years of directly related experience as a lead or supervisor (preferred)
  • Active CPR Certification (required)
  • Valid driver's license (required)
Compensation

Starting Pay Range $26.72 - $36.99

* Taking into account education and experience related to the position

Work Environment and Physical Demands

With multiple locations and settings, PCHS work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee’s role. Essential job functions include the following:
The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employees may be exposed to mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
