Traveling General Dentist – Seattle Metro/Northern Washington

Scope of Travel & Position Details

Scope of Travel: Seattle, Kent, Bellevue, Mountlake Terrace, Everett, Bellingham, and Silverdale.

Position Type: Full Time.

Schedule: 4 10‑hour days (40 hours per week).

Expected Hiring Range: $180,000 – $210,000 annually (based on experience and performance).

Other Compensation: Eligible for retention/sign‑on bonuses and a relocation advance if relocation distance criteria are met.

Position Summary

The Traveling General Dentist supports Willamette Dental’s evidence‑based treatment philosophy, mission, vision, and core values by performing the full scope of general dentistry permitted by state law.

Essential Position Functions
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the locations listed in the scope of travel.
  • Embody Willamette Dental Group’s treatment philosophy, mission, and values throughout practice activities.
  • Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team at the highest scope of licensure per the applicable state’s Dental Practice Act, including coordination with Dental Assistants and Hygienists holding all required state permits and endorsements.
  • Coordinate multiple schedules to ensure patients have appropriate access to care, an exceptional experience, and that tomorrow’s work is accomplished today.
  • Ensure quality care and adherence to company treatment philosophy, including data review from dashboards, specialty referrals, and EV Reports.
  • Adhere to office strategic goals and economic value reports in metrics such as patient count, routine work, Customer Experience, access, and quality care.
  • Practice Customer Experience and patient transparency with patient experience as foremost.
  • Obtain and maintain credentials for Nitrous Oxide and other minimal conscious sedation modalities.
  • Strictly follow OSHA, blood‑borne pathogens, FDA, and ALARA guidelines for radiographs.
  • Diagnose and treat oral disease, malformations, and injuries; develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Present proactive dental care plans at all new patient and continuing care appointments; address and resolve patient concerns and second opinions.
  • Adhere to the company’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policy, including use of N95 respirators and other required PPE.
Education & Experience
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with successful completion of a traditional pre‑doctoral dentistry program.
  • Valid licensure in the specific state(s) where practicing.
Licenses, Certifications & Registrations
  • Copyrighted DMD or DDS degree.
Knowledge of
  • Evidence‑based dental practices.
  • Axi Um electronic records and proper electronic documentation for all care provided.
  • CAMBRA and PEMBRA, emphasizing prevention.
  • Risk phases and risk assessment.
  • Diagnostic terms and techniques for diagnosing and treating oral cavity anomalies.
  • Principles and processes for providing customer and optimal patient experience, including needs assessment and quality standards.
Compensation

The base pay will be based on multiple factors, including education, job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. The position is also eligible for incentive pay per the company’s plan.

Physical Requirements
