Physician, Healthcare Consultant

Duties

Provide authoritative medical advice and guidance in the development of policies that incorporate the operational aspects of the CMS programs, as well as drive quality, reduce costs and improve outcomes.

Utilize technical knowledge of the Group portfolio of Medicare and Medicaid payment and care delivery models to problem-solve on cross-Division issues.

Recommend legislative, policy, and/or administrative remedies to improve CMMI models and programs.

Advise the Group/ Deputy Directors on the activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of ideation, planning, implanting and operating innovative models of payment and health care services delivery for CMMI.

Serve as a trustworthy clinical partner to the provider community, developing and maintaining collaborative relationships through mutual understanding of providers' needs and concerns.
