Audio Engineer

Studio West is a multi-room creative production studio built for artists, creators, and small businesses in the Seattle area. We specialize in vocal recording, podcast production, and content-driven media experiences.

We’re building a creator first environment focused on quality, transparency, and community.

We’re looking for a skilled Audio Engineer to work primarily with vocal artists. This role is contractor-based and project-driven. Artists can book studio sessions with or without an engineer, and you will be scheduled when clients book any engineer packages.

This is an in-studio position only. No remote work.

• Record and engineer vocal sessions (hip-hop, R&B, pop, etc.)
• Set up microphones, interfaces, headphones, and session templates
• Basic mixing and vocal processing during sessions
• Provide professional studio etiquette and client experience
• Help maintain equipment and studio cleanliness

• Must be 18+
• Prior vocal recording experience required
• Strong understanding of gain staging, vocal chains, and session flow
• Experience with either Logic or FL Studio
• Comfortable working independently
• Reliable evening availability
• Professional communication skills

• Experience working with hip-hop artists
• Knowledge of studio hardware (Scarlett interfaces, condenser mics like TLM 103-style setups, etc.)
• Existing client relationships in the Seattle area

• $25–$30 per hour depending on experience
• Paid per booked session
• No guaranteed minimum hours
