The Project Architect will lead the planning, design, documentation, and construction administration of industrial-type facilities in our Seattle office. The role involves managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑performance data centers, water treatment facilities, advanced manufacturing plants, and other infrastructure projects while ensuring design excellence, resilience, and sustainability.
Responsibilities- Be knowledgeable in technical design concepts, code applications, design management skills, digital technologies, and design workflows for industrial-type facilities.
- Lead owner/client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Lead project teams with varied levels of experience to successfully complete and deliver construction documents and intermediate milestone deliverables.
- Manage and undertake design activities and the production of detailed documents required for construction.
- Independently coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team through all phases of a project.
- Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
- Perform QA/QC and cross‑discipline technical reviews.
- Write and edit architectural specifications.
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders.
- Incorporate agreed‑upon changes into project documents.
- Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed.
- Conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Client Representatives, Project Managers and other disciplines.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master’s degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant prior experience in industrial architecture (e.g., data centers, water treatment facilities, public utilities, operations centers, aerospace, manufacturing).
- LEED Accreditation or interest in sustainable design.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Experience facilitating meetings with stakeholders such as engineers, clients, contractors, subcontractors, AHJs.
- US Citizenship or permanent residency (required by client contract).
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Registered Architect.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
- Experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills.

Full-time compensation for this position in Seattle, WA ranges from $108,948 to $155,640.
