As part of our Architecture practice at HDR, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well‑being around the world. From healing environments and learning spaces to research labs, civic landmarks, and infrastructure, your work will directly influence how individuals experience the world around them. We bring together architects, planners, designers, and technical experts to solve complex design challenges with creativity, curiosity, and collaboration.
Inthe role of Senior Landscape Architect, we’ll count on you to:
- Conduct site analysis, site planning, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, site grading, storm drainage design, and landscape design
- Serve as the primary contact to clients, consultants, and public agencies on all assigned projects
- Coordinate with other disciplines, write and edit site and landscape specifications, and select landscape and pavement materials
- Provide construction administration as needed
- Prepare marketing materials for obtaining work from internal and external clients
- Perform other duties as needed
- Produces drawings and leads landscape architecture scope independently
- Has experience working with Architecture + Transportation projects teams
- Supports project leadership for our team (technical questions, project management, fee/schedule development)
- Has experience working in Washington/Seattle and existing relationships with local counties/cities
- Supports business development efforts
- Supports team staffing/projections
- Is a self‑starter and proactive
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years experience
- Professional registration
- Experience with large‑scale master planning
- AutoCAD and Photoshop proficiency
- Extensive experience in all phases of landscape architectural projects and their management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture

Compensation: $107,688 – $153,840 (Seattle, WA) based on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
