Interior Designer Job Description
A Contract Furniture Designer is needed to support a high-volume corporate account focused on furniture layout, specification, and order accuracy for private offices and support spaces. This role requires experience with contract furniture dealers and proficiency in CET and AutoCAD. Candidates should be confident in client-facing roles and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Initially, the position requires on-site presence, with the option for hybrid flexibility after a ramp-up period.
Responsibilities- Design and specify furniture layouts for private offices and support spaces.
- Ensure order accuracy and manage specifications for client projects.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their design needs and preferences.
- Proficiency in CET and AutoCAD.
- 5+ years of experience with contract furniture dealers.
- Experience in commercial office space planning.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Sketch Up and Project Spec 5.
- Experience supporting multiple projects at once.
- Experience working directly with clients.
- Background in working with a furniture manufacturer or dealer is a plus.
This role is set in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with multiple concurrent initiatives. The team is highly collaborative, working closely across design, sales, project management, and installation functions. Designers are expected to be adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable shifting priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality work within established timelines. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
