AMA does not support a prescribed architectural style or singular design process, preferring to gain insight from a fluid mix of design teams, contexts and clients. We are searching for versatile, enthusiastic designers who like to learn, are technically adept and good with people.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Interior Designer to join our growing Seattle office, and to elevate our Multi‑Family Housing!
Who we’re looking for:
The successful candidate is a fun, creative individual and exudes flexibility when collaborating with other designers. They must be proactive and will take ownership in each of their projects as well as their daily work. This person must have strong design skills and experience working with established hospitality brands. Experience managing client relationships and strong presentation skills is required. The ideal candidate has previous experience managing a team of designers as well as experience working directly with Architects on new construction.
Qualifications- Focused on high‑end, and also comfortable in designing market‑rate housing
- Must have experience interfacing with clients and also managing a team of designers
- Experienced Multifamily Interior Designer with 8+ years working with a diverse client and project experience and strong hospitality or multifamily housing design background
- Ability to provide interior design solutions for any scope of the project including space planning, design, drawings, color and material selections
- Proven ability to balance multiple project types and sizes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD (Revit will be the primary drawing tool);
Desire and ability to mentor new or junior staff - Project management experience is highly preferred (Must be able to juggle multiple projects)
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited university
- NCIDQ and LEED accreditation preferred but not required
