Originally founded in 2010 in Seattle’s Eastlake neighborhood, Urbal is a 24-person award-winning firm with a rapidly growing portfolio.

We have three office locations in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Bozeman, MT.

We design housing across all scales from single-family additions to large mixed-use multifamily and senior housing. Our projects are located from coast to coast and incorporate regional design inspiration.

About you:
First and foremost, we are looking for a good fit for our office culture. Beyond that, we are looking for a project manager with a proven track record of leading 50–400 unit residential projects from feasibility through construction. Our ideal candidate should:

Educational Background: Hold a professional degree in architecture (BArch or MArch) from an accredited program.

Experience Requirement: Have strong experience managing multifamily residential projects, including entitlement and design review.

Code & Permitting Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the building code and permitting processes.

Client & Consultant Communication: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and serve as the primary point of contact with clients and consultants.

Project Scheduling: Be capable of creating and maintaining project schedules to ensure deadlines are met.

Team Leadership: Show a desire to mentor and lead small project teams while managing multiple projects concurrently.

Proficiency in Design Software: Must be proficient in Revit; experience with AutoCAD and Sketch Up is a plus.

Motivated Self-Starter: Be comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

:

Requires at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.

Proficiency in Design Software
:
Must be proficient in Sketch Up and Revit; experience with Enscape is a plus.

Lead Project Aspects
:
Responsible for leading certain components of an Urbal project.

Client & Consultant Communication
:
Serve as the primary point of daily communication with clients and consultants.

Consultant Coordination
:
Must demonstrate proficiency in coordinating with consultants effectively.

Schedule Implementation
:
Ensure the project schedule is executed according to plan.

Motivated Self-Starter
:
Be comfortable working in small teams and taking on independent responsibilities.

Strong Communication & Graphic Skills
:
Good communication and graphic skills are essential.

Path to Project Manager
:
This role serves as an intermediate step towards becoming a project manager.
