Accessories Designer - Luggage

We’re partnering with a respected premium bag and accessories brand to find an experienced Accessories Product Designer with deep expertise in luggage, backpacks, and sewn soft goods.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll help shape products from early concepts through production, collaborating closely with leadership, pattern makers, sample teams, and manufacturing partners. Role can be onsite/hybrid in Seattle or fully remote if able to travel to Seattle quarterly.

• Design backpacks, travel bags, luggage, and accessories from concept through production.
• Create sketches, technical drawings, specifications, and production-ready documentation.
• Develop product architecture, usability, comfort, materials, hardware, and construction details.
• Build, evaluate, and refine prototypes through multiple development rounds.
• Partner with pattern makers, sample makers, sourcing teams, and manufacturing partners.
• Contribute to product roadmaps, research, testing, and development-process improvements.

• 5+ years designing commercially produced backpacks, luggage, bags, or technical sewn soft goods.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating products brought to market; luggage experience is highly valued.
• Expertise in bag construction, sewing methods, pattern development, materials, and manufacturing.
• Experience with technical drawings, tech packs, specifications, and prototype evaluation.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and CAD or 3D design tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
