Stemper Architecture Collaborative is looking for a skilled, collaborative, and creative architectural staff member to join our Seattle office.
We are seeking someone with 7+ years of professional experience and a strong interest in building envelope, building science, and vertical transportation. You will work directly with our Senior Project Manager and Principals, gaining hands‑on experience across project phases while contributing to projects that make a difference in the communities we serve.
What You’ll Do- Participate and support projects in all phases of work from initial client meetings to Design Phase, Permitting, Bidding, and Construction Administration
- Assist with building envelope and vertical transportation investigations, assessments, and field visits
- Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects
- Assists the Project Managers and Principals in research/problem solving for specialized systems
- Contract Document Production: develop drawings, details, specifications, and technical documentation
- Prepare contract documents for Permitting and Bidding
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams
- Assist with all aspects of Construction Observation/Administration
- Able to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Have approximately 7 years or more of professional architectural experience
- Have project type experience for: institutional, educational, or public agency
- Have experience in building envelope systems, roofing, building renovation, vertical transportation, and building systems
- Excellent understanding of construction and construction detailing
- Strong understanding of project and construction scheduling and sequencing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and enjoys technical challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, virtually and in‑person
- Strong skills in professional etiquette are a must
- Proactive, self‑initiates, eager to grow in the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Project)
- Bluebeam, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
