The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Washington School of Medicine/Seattle Children’s Hospital is seeking five candidates to join our faculty as full‑time Assistant Professor (WOT), Associate Professor (WOT), or Professor (WOT) without tenure by reason of funding, on the Clinician‑Scholar track. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The anticipated start date is Summer 2025.
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi‑year appointments that align with a 12‑month service period (July 1–June 30). Faculty with 12‑month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12‑month period (July–June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Associate and full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12‑month service period (July 1–June 30) and are similarly paid for 11 months of service. All UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The base salary range for this position will be:
Assistant Professor: $14,830–$22,245 per month ($177,960–$266,940 annually),
Associate Professor: $18,381–$27,572 per month ($220,572–$330,864 annually),
Professor: $22,729–$34,093 per month ($272,748–$409,116 annually). Compensation may include incentive through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan.
Must have MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent). Must be board‑certified or eligible in pediatric gastroenterology and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington. For University sponsorship for an H‑1B visa, graduates of foreign (non‑U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
