Washington(UW) arejointlyrecruitinga full-time faculty member at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), inthe
Clinical Research Divisionofthe Fred Hutchand appointment in one of the following UW departments, based upon the board certification(s) of successful applicant:
Medicine, Family Medicine, Anesthesiology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, or Surgery. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code Section 24-34 . University of Washington assistant professors WOT are eligible formulti-year appointments andassociateprofessorsWOT holdindefiniteappointments thatbothalignwitha 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent ofone month is available for paid time off.

The selected individual is expected to contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developingexcellenceinclinicalresearchinpalliativecare.
The successful candidate will have clinical responsibilities on the outpatient and/or inpatient palliative care servicebasedonthecandidate’sinterests(andinstitutionalneed).Teaching responsibilities will include clinical oversite of fellows, informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to learners, providers and the general medical community. The balance of time will be spent in research-related activities. At Fred Hutch, Clinician Scholars are expected to obtain externally funded research (e.g. grants, clinical trials).
