The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to join our dynamic faculty. This full-time academic position offers exceptional opportunities for growth of clinical practice, leadership, clinical research, and education in a collaborative environment.
UW Plastic Surgery consists of 18 plastic surgeons, four advanced practice providers, three fellows, and 28 integrated plastic surgery residents in a fully accredited training program. We serve as the primary resource for the WWAMI region (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho) affording us the opportunity to grow high-complexity surgical programs. Our division works across the full spectrum of institutions including an expanding qua ternary referral center, a busy Level 1 trauma center, a world-leading children’s hospital, a vibrant community hospital, and a major regional Veterans Affairs medical center.

The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, without tenure (WOT), by reason of funding with an anticipated start date of Fall/Winter 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to support the department's commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community.
The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment (3-year term renewable for Assistant Professor) beginning Fall/Winter 2027.
Commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination, the base salary range for this position will be:
- Assistant Professor, $32,084 - $34,167 per month ($385,008-$410,004 annually)
- Associate Professor, $40,000 - $49,584 per month ($480,000-$595,008 annually)
- Professor $47,917 - $51,667 per month ($575,004-$620,008 annually)
Other compensation associated with this position, Total Compensation, may include incentive through UWP. The total compensation ranges listed below represent total cash compensation potential and may include base salary, clinical productivity incentives, administrative stipends, and other applicable compensation associated with the position. Actual compensation will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, clinical activity, academic responsibilities, and overall contributions.
Competitive estimated annual total compensation ranges are:
- Associate Professor: $540,000 - $765,000
- Professor: $635,000 - $840,000
The primary site of practice will be at University of Washington Montlake Campus with opportunities at University of Washington Northwest Campus and Seattle Children's Hospital. Position highlights included:
