The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, and Cellular Therapy at the University of Washington invites applications for a clinical practice faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Practice. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community, with a strong record of clinical expertise in caring for pediatric hematology and vascular anomalies patients.

The successful candidate will join our faculty on a twelve-month full-time basis for a term of 3 years beginning Spring or Summer 2027.

As the second largest Department in the UW School of Medicine, Pediatrics has twenty-one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including approximately 650 paid faculty members, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff employees and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty and continues to grow each year. The Department of Pediatrics is a close affiliate of Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI).

Faculty members appointed in the Department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children’s, UW Medicine, and FHCC), and are part of the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan.

The successful candidate will be expected to devote a majority of effort to clinical responsibilities in the Cancer & Blood Disorders Center at Seattle Children’s Hospital, with a focus on non-malignant hematology and vascular anomalies.

• Provide exemplary clinical service and assure that patients cared for receive only the highest quality care.
• Contribute to the clinical program and patient services in general and consultative hematology, in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Expand the clinical program in vascular anomalies.
• Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.

The base salary range for this position will be:
Assistant Professors $16,236 - $19,004 per month ($194,832 - $228,048 annually), Associate Professors $19,840 - $23,445 per month ($238,080 - $281,340 annually), Professors $25,779 - $30,672 per month ($309,348 - $368,064 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University.

Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in university benefit determinations and calculations. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children’s University Medical Group practice plan.

Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative duty supplement (ADS).

All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service.

Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Must have MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
• Must be Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington.
