The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the ranks Associate Professor and Professor, without tenure (WOT), by reason of funding with an anticipated start date of Summer 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to support the department's commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community.

Associate Professors WOT and Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30), paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period.

Commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination, the base salary range for this position will be:

• Associate Professor: $38,750 - $44,584 per month ($465,000 - $535,008 annually)
• Professor: $45,417 - $53,750 per month ($545,004 - $645,000 annually)

Other compensation associated with this position, Total Compensation, may include incentive through UWP. The total compensation ranges listed below represent total cash compensation potential and may include base salary, clinical productivity incentives, administrative stipends, and other applicable compensation associated with the position. Actual compensation will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, clinical activity, academic responsibilities, and overall contributions.

Estimated annual total compensation ranges are:

• Associate Professor: $505,000 - $630,000
• Professor: $585,000 - $740,000

This position is for an experienced faculty member with a particular focus in complex aortic (open and endovascular) surgery. This position will have a primary clinical deployment at Harborview Medical Center with clinical responsibilities that include a wide range of evaluation, consultation and surgical treatment services for adult vascular surgery patients. This position will have full privileges and participate in system call covering Harborview Medical Center, UWMC – Montlake and Northwest Campuses.

The Vascular Surgery practice at Harborview Medical Center is diverse. The clinical responsibilities for this position include:

• High-acuity vascular surgery
• Complex aortic disease management
• Dialysis Access
• Limb Preservation; both open and endovascular procedures

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• MD degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Board eligibility (or foreign equivalent) by the American Board of Surgery, inclusive of completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE)
• Eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing vascular surgeon after completion of vascular surgery training
• In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
