The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington invites applications for a leadership position as Division Chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. We are seeking an enthusiastic, mid-career Obstetrics and Gynecology physician with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service.

This is a full-time faculty member position at the Associate Professor or Professor without tenure due to funding (WOT) level. UW Medicine is the premier academic medical center in Washington state, encompasses four hospitals in the Seattle metro area and is the primary referral hospital for the five-state WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho) region. The department supports a residency program, five fellowship programs, and is a major teaching site for UW medical students.

The base salary range for this position will be $26,667 - $30,417 per month at the Associate Professor rank ($320,000 - $365,004 annually) or $30,417 - $33,333 per month at the Professor rank ($365,004 - $399,996 annually) with competitive total compensation commensurate with rank, experience, and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University.

Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.

This opportunity will be predominantly at the UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus in Seattle. Joining the Division of Urogynecology at UW provides a broad scope of clinical opportunities including treating the most complicated pelvic floor disorders and offering the full spectrum of vaginal, abdominal, and minimally invasive surgical options.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide outstanding administrative leadership and clinical care while working in a team-based setting and support the department's commitment to education, leadership, and research consistent with the academic mission of the University of Washington. Successful candidates should demonstrate excellent clinical and surgical skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

Associate and Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off in addition to protected time for continuous medical education.
