Seattle Preparatory School is a Catholic, Jesuit college preparatory school with an enrollment of about 790 students in grades 9-12. Seattle Prep is guided by its mission statement:

Located in the North Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Seattle Prep seeks qualified professionals to partner in our mission of forming men and women for others.

Seattle Prep seeks a pool of on-call, occasional Substitute Teachers in all subject areas. General responsibilities include:

• Provide instruction, support, and classroom management to students in a variety of subject areas.
• Implement the absent teacher's lesson plans.
• Exercise appropriate classroom management and establish healthy and positive rapport with students.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• An Associate Degree and two years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Prep’s mission and values, especially as it relates to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Experience working with youth.
• Successful completion of criminal history background check and Safe Environment training.

Salary Range

Substitute Teachers are paid $20.00 per hour.
