Substitute Teachers play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of daily school operations. While substitute teachers may not have the same long‑term presence as regular classroom teachers, they serve as the reliable and flexible backbone of our education system, ensuring the continuity of delivery of curriculum, serving student needs in a variety of ways, and maintaining a consistent academic environment.
At Epiphany School, we deeply appreciate our substitutes and rely on them to step in, often at a moment’s notice, to ensure the school can continue to function effectively in the face of planned or unplanned absences, so our teachers can tend to their or their family’s needs, attend professional development opportunities, or deal with unforeseen circumstances.
Substitute schedules can vary, but a typical start time for a full‑day placement begins at 8:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Typical start time for an Extended Day placement begins at 3:00 pm and ends at 6:00 pm.
Our substitutes sit within our Academic Programs department, reports into & communicates directly with our Front Office Coordinator for sub placement opportunities.
