Summary

The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology is hiring for open adjunct faculty positions in our Master's Level Counseling Psychology degree programs for the  academic year. We currently have no adjunct positions open for the Master's Level Theology & Culture degree program.

We are building a creative community that is robustly Christian, deeply questioning, and profoundly human. The ideal candidates will be committed to the interdisciplinary dialogue between theology and psychology, as well as intercultural engagement.

* Seattle School classes take place Mondays through Thursdays during the term, with occasional weekend Intensives.

Essential Functions

* Support student learning through strong course design, active learning pedagogy, assessment of student work, and alignment of course and program learning outcomes

* Support student learning and development by providing advising opportunities for students in current courses and providing vocational advising as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Specifics are dependent upon related course and discipline

* Master's Degree required, Ph.D. preferred

* Experience teaching or facilitating classes and seminars required, online teaching experience preferred

* Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people

* A commitment to collaborate with faculty, instructional team, and students

* Ability to incorporate the school's Christian, integrative, and intercultural distinctives into teaching and service

* Familiarity and appreciation for the mission and values of The Seattle School

Compensation & Benefits

The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology provides competitive compensation and benefits. For this part-time contract position compensation is determined based on experience and education level.

All employees of The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology are required to complete our criminal background check and Statement of Faith, as well as adhere to our Dual Relationship Policy, which prohibits instructors who are also mental health clinicians from serving as counselor, clinical supervisor, or consultant to any students currently enrolled in any of our graduate school programs.

Due to tax and employment laws, we are unable to hire in all states. Eligibility for hiring may be dependent on the candidates' residency in states and municipalities where we currently have payroll open.
