TITLE

Learning Coordinator - Program Development and Delivery (Temporary)

SALARY

$31.89 per hour

$31.89 - $36.43 per hour is the pay range for this job classification. Every employee under the Joint Crafts Council wage scale, on first appointment, will receive the first step of the salary range for the position, which is $31.89. Temporary staff are not eligible to earn more than the Step 1 rate, which may be adjusted annually per the contract.

This position is anticipated to start in either late March 2026 or early April 2026 and end 08/21/2026.

This role is expected to work 40 hours per week. The anticipated schedule is Monday - Friday, occasional evenings or weekends may be required based on operational need.

This role is based on the Children's Programs Team. The role will spend roughly 50% of the work week facilitating offsite outreach programming. The other 50% will focus on supporting on-grounds programming and planning for summer camps. Zoo transportation will be provided for offsite programming.

    You enjoy developing, facilitating and presenting age-appropriate curriculum for early learners through elementary age children that inspires them to make conservation a priority in their lives. You can use your experience presenting engaging programs and facilitating extraordinary experiences for audiences of all ages virtually and in-person, on and off zoo grounds, independently or in collaboration with other staff or volunteers.

Your Primary Responsibilities
  • Present programming focused on conservation, wildlife, and empathy to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Support in building curriculum and programming for youth audiences.
  • Assist as directed in evaluating the impact of programs, curricula, activities, and projects.
  • Perform logistical support duties to include booking and organizing rooms, resources, and registration of participants, schedule activities, and maintain records and databases.
  • Provide feedback on curriculum, program, and activities; identify and recommend policy and process improvements to department leadership.
  • Develop agendas and facilitate inclusive participation in meetings, building consensus, resolving conflicts, and capturing notes as appropriate.
