Kids, an initiative of Believe in Me, brings together alumni, volunteers, and community partners to uplift youth through structured engagement, community connection, and meaningful program experiences. We are dedicated to empowering young people by creating opportunities that foster confidence, character, and community impact.
We’re looking for a Student Liaison Director who will serve as the central coordinator for student participation across Cougs 4 Kids programming. In this volunteer leadership role, you will lead the Student Ambassador Team and manage the logistics and communication that bring student engagement to life. You’ll ensure involvement is well‑organized, safe, and aligned with best practices for youth interaction.
What You’ll Do- Recruit, train, and support a volunteer Student Ambassador Team to assist with engagement logistics.
- Coordinate student involvement across virtual and in‑person program elements.
- Manage scheduling, communication, and preparation to ensure readiness and professionalism.
- Uphold privacy, consent, and safety protocols within all engagement activities.
- Maintain documentation and feedback loops to inform ongoing improvement.
- Work closely with program staff and outreach partners to amplify participation and celebrate impact.
- Support consent/media tracking and follow appropriate youth‑safety practices in all interactions.
- Students feel prepared, confident, and professional in engagement settings.
- Youth participants experience inclusive, supportive interactions.
- Processes for coordination, tracking, and communication run smoothly and align with organizational standards.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Comfortable managing communication and documentation workflows.
- Professional and discreet with respect to privacy, scheduling, and compliance tasks.
- Commitment to inclusive practices and youth‑centered engagement.
- Familiarity with common collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace) is a plus.
- Current WSU student or alumni a bonus.
- Planning & preparation: ~5–10 hours per month.
- Ramp‑up before major engagement periods: ~10 hours per week.
- On‑site support during primary program events: full‑time engagement for 5–7 days.
